ST. THOMAS — Shekil Berthier, the 19-year-old St. Thomas man wanted for an October assault near the Frydenhoj Ball Field, turned himself in to police Friday evening.
Berthier, of the Frydenhoj area, was charged with third-degree assault. He was identified as the individual who fired gunshots at another man in October 2019.
Bail for Berthier was set at $30,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
