ST. THOMAS — The V.I. Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a person of interest captured in a photograph connected to a violent incident at Four Winds Plaza earlier this month.

According to police, the incident occurred during the early morning hours of October 6, shortly after 1:00 a.m., when multiple men exchanged gunfire in the area. The shootout caused significant damage to several vehicles, though no injuries were reported, police confirmed.

Despite the lack of casualties, the VIPD stressed the seriousness of the event, describing it as a reckless act of violence that endangered lives and property. Detectives continue to investigate and are working to identify and apprehend everyone involved.

“This case remains under active investigation,” the department stated, adding that officers are pursuing every lead to ensure accountability. “The VIPD recognizes the seriousness of this event and remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community.”

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the person of interest or who has information about the incident to come forward.

Individuals can call 911 immediately or contact Detective Y. Loblack of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211 ext. 5577.

Those preferring to speak directly with law enforcement leadership can also contact the Office of the Police Chief at (340) 774-2211.
