VIPD Issues Warrant for Randy Lawrence on Attempted Murder Charges

ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Randy Lawrence, wanted for attempted murder following a shooting incident at E&D Restaurant in Estate Mountain Friday afternoon.

According to the VIPD, on Friday at approximately 4:26 p.m., 911 received a call reporting a male being shot in the stomach near E&D Restaurant. Upon arrival, Criminal Investigation Bureau investigators observed the victim on the floor with a single gunshot wound to his stomach. The victim was transported by ambulance to Juan Luis Hospital, where he underwent emergency life-saving surgery and is currently listed in very serious but stable condition.

Randy Lawrence, 30, of Lorraine Village, has been identified as the suspect. Despite efforts to locate him, Lawrence remains at large. The VIPD warns that anyone found harboring him will face charges for aiding a fugitive.

Lawrence, described as a 5' 9'' tall black male with light complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes, frequents areas such as Whim, Lorraine Village, and Hannah’s Rest. Authorities urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-712-6040 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) (or online here).

Charges against Lawrence include attempted murder and other firearm-related offenses. The public is advised to call 911 immediately if they see him.
