ST. CROIX — A woman told the Consortium Wednesday that she was seeking justice after being brutalized by three of four women who stalked her while she traveled to the Frontline Bar and Restaurant on Monday night, waited until she was out her car, and proceeded to viciously beat her. She was also stabbed with a sharp object, leaving deep gashes in her back, according to photos of the injuries viewed by the Consortium.
Even so, arrests have not been made. Police spokesman Toby Derima said Wednesday that he had not received a police report on the incident. Mr. Derima was later provided with the report number, which was furnished by the victim.
Two of the attackers are in their 50s, while the other two are said to be in their 40s, the victim said. "I was just beaten up badly," she said. "I was just left there for dead. Everybody standing up watching, and not one person from Frontline came to try to help me. Only one guy came with a paper towel to help me wipe the blood that was flowing from my head and my back." The victim said she identified the suspects to police.
After the assault, the victim called for an ambulance but went on to drive herself to the hospital.

One of the suspects, the victim said, is her children's father cousin. She said she broke up with her children's father years ago and placed a restraining order on him following unrelenting harassment. Another one of the suspects — the one who allegedly did the stabbing — was in a relationship with the victim's current boyfriend years ago, according to the victim.
The victim said she was on one of the territory's beaches on July 4 where a party was being held. Also at the party was one of the suspects of the Monday night assault. "I was dressed in white, and it looked like she was intoxicated and drinking. I had my back turned and she was coming towards me so what I did is I tried to move out of her way, and when I moved out of her way, my elbow hit her," the victim said. The victim explained that she was trying to move away because the suspect was approaching her with a drink in hand looking to hit her.
She further stated that the suspect went to her cousins stating that the victim hit her. "So I kept saying, 'I did not hit you, it was an accident.' So she knew it was an accident and then from there they had a rumor that was coming from different people saying she is going to jump me. She's going to roast me. They're going to jump me."
The suspect at the party was the individual who did the stabbing, and was once in a relationship with the victim's current boyfriend, according to the victim.
Mr. Derima said that upon receipt of the report number, he would put out a release. It was unclear as to why the V.I.P.D. did not provide Mr. Derima with a report of the incident, or why arrests have not been made.
