V.I. Air National Guardsman Arrested on Rape, Sexual Assault Charges for Alleged Raping Female on July 23

ST. CROIX — The Virgin Islands Police Department has announced that 23-year-old Aaron Henry was arrested on Thursday at 5:55 p.m. and charged with two counts of rape, one count of assault and one count of unlawful sexual contact in connection with an incident that occurred on July 23.

Henry, a V.I. Air National Guardsman, was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree aggravated rape, first-degree assault, and first-degree unlawful sexual contact, according to the news release.

According to the police report, Henry allegedly raped a female on July 23. Police did not say whether the female was a minor or an adult. Mr. Derima said information on the victim's age was not provided.

Henry was able to post bail of $150,000, and he was released to a third-party custodian pending his advisement hearing.
