ST. CROIX — Two men working on a cellphone tower Monday morning located in the parking lot area of Cheeseburgers in Paradise on the east end of St. Croix, were robbed at gunpoint, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has confirmed to the Consortium.
Mr. Derima said the two men were working when a tall, slim, black man approached one of the two tower workers, pointed at gun at him and demanded money. The first victim gave the funds he had to the suspect, who then turned his attention to the second victim, pointed the gun at him, and demanded the second victim's cash as well.
The suspect left with money belonging to the two suspects, Mr. Derima said. No one was injured during the incident. The incident occurred at about 11:24 a.m.
