Two Men Shot on St. Croix Thursday Morning, One in Critical but Stable Condition

ST. CROIX — Two men were wounded by gunfire Thursday morning in the area of Estate Pearl on St. Croix, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.

According to the release, on Thursday at 11:52 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of two male gunshot victims who entered the Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation revealed two adult males were fired on by unknown assailants near the UVI wetlands in Estate Pearl, Mr. Derima said. One victim was treated and released; the other victim underwent emergency surgery and is in serious but stable condition.  

The investigation continues. The V.I.P.D. is asking anyone with information that can assist detectives to call 911, the Crime TipLine at (340) 778-4950, or Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-8477. Remember, if you see something, say something.
