Two Men Invade Female Victim's Home, Assault Her With a Gun and Flee Scene With Victim's Bag

ST. JOHN — Two black male suspects on Monday night invaded the home of a woman in Cruz Bay, assaulted her with a gun, forced her into a bathroom and then fled the scene with the victim's bag which contained her documents, according to a V.I.P.D. report.

Police spokesman Toby Derima said that on May 4 at approximately 10:13 p.m., police were notified of a residential burglary that occurred in Cruz Bay.

The female victim, who made her report at the Leander Jurgen Command, stated that she was in her residence when she heard a knock on her door, Mr. Derima said. The victim told police she asked who was knocking, two Black males dressed in black kicked the door in and entered her residence. One of the suspects assaulted her with a firearm while the other took her bag that contained her documents. The victim reported that the suspects ordered her in the bathroom and left the area. She then traveled to the police station to file the report.

Emergency Medical Technicians were dispatched to the police station, and they treated the victim for lacerations to the head that she received from the incident.
