ST. CROIX — Two brothers, 30-year-old Yordani Eduardo and 25-year-old Delli Eduardo, were killed in a shooting near La Terraza Bar and Restaurant in Castle Coakley early Sunday, bringing St. Croix’s homicide count to 17 for 2026 and the territorywide total to 30. St. Thomas has recorded 13 homicides this year.
According to the V.I. Police Department, the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple calls at approximately 4:13 a.m. reporting two gunshot victims in the vicinity of the restaurant.
VIPD Director of Communications Glen Dratte said officers and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, where they found one of the brothers lying on the ground, unresponsive, with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second brother was transported by private vehicle to Juan Luis Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
Their next of kin identified both victims following the shooting.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau is actively investigating the incident as a double homicide.
With Sunday morning’s killings, St. Croix has now recorded 17 homicides in 2026. Combined with the 13 recorded on St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands has reached 30 homicides for the year.
VIPD is asking anyone who was in the Castle Coakley area at the time of the shooting, or who may have information that could assist investigators, to contact 911 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Crime Stoppers may provide a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in active investigations.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
