ST. CROIX — Three women were arrested this week following a V.I. Police Department investigation into an assault and robbery reported earlier this month, according to a VIPD news release issued Wednesday.

Police said the case began on November 3, 2025, at approximately 11:38 a.m., when the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of an assault and harassment incident on St. Croix. The complainant told responding officers that she had been assaulted by three women and was continuing to receive threats following the incident.

According to the police account, the complainant sustained visible injuries during the assault, and two gold necklaces were forcibly removed from her neck.

Following the investigation, arrest warrants were issued on December 9, after being signed by a Superior Court judge. The warrants named Dreadisha Peguero, Milagros Peguero, and Astia Lebron in connection with the incident.

On December 17 police arrested Milagros Peguero, 43; Dreadisha Peguero, 23; and Astia Lebron, 36. All three were charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree assault, third-degree assault, first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, grand larceny and assault and battery.

Bail for each defendant was set at $75,000. Police said Astia Lebron, a former Miss St. Croix, posted bail and was released pending an Advice of Rights hearing scheduled for December 18, 2025.

Milagros Peguero and Dreadisha Peguero were unable to post bail and were remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility. Both are scheduled to appear for their Advice of Rights hearing on December 18, 2025, at the Superior Court.
