Salt River Beach
The V.I.P.D. on Wednesday reported multiple crime incidents affecting St. Croix and St. Thomas, including a carjacking that occurred in Salt River on St. Croix, and an incident in St. Thomas that left a woman wounded by gunfire and man injured with stab wounds.
Carjacking at Salt River Beach
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, this morning at 1:18 a.m., a male individual went to the Ancilmo Marshall Command police station in Christiansted to report that he was robbed.
The victim reported that at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, he was sitting in his white 2016 Ford Explorer at Salt River Beach when he observed a white, four-door Ford F-150 truck drive up. The victim was then approached by three males — dressed in black clothing with black t-shirts over their faces — who ordered him out his vehicle.
After the victim complied, two of the suspects left the area in the victim's vehicle, and the third suspect left in the Ford F-150. The victim was able to find his way to the police station and filed a report. He was not harmed in the incident, according to Mr. Derima.

Shooting, Stabbing in St. Thomas
According to the V.I.P.D. news release, at 12:15 a.m. this morning, the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of a female victim who suffered a gunshot wound to the right foot, and later treated at the Schneider Regional Medical Center. Mr. Derima said the victim was reluctant to speak to police about the incident, however, officers traveled to the scene — the trash dump site in Estate Nazareth — and found evidence of the shooting.
At 4:54 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of an injured person at the hospital. The male victim, who suffered minor stab wounds, did not want to speak to officers. Even so, the investigation revealed that the male was also injured in the same incident as the female gunshot wound victim at the dump site in Estate Nazareth.
