Three Men Invade Home in East End, Pistol-Whipping Victim as They Demanded Cash, Jewelry, Police Say

ST. CROIX — A man living in the Ms. Bea community on the East End of St. Croix was assaulted by two of three suspects who invaded the victim's home demanding money and jewelry, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.

According to police, on Thursday at approximately 9:03 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Ms. Bea Road regarding a burglary in progress.

The police report said officers traveled to the area and made contact with the victim, who stated that two suspects forced themselves inside his residence and assaulted him with a firearm while a third suspect stood watch. The victim further stated the suspects restrained him and searched his residence, demanding money and jewelry. The suspects fled the area on foot. 

Mr. Derima said the victim sustained several lacerations to his head. He was treated by Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene for his injuries.
