ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department’s Burglary Unit has arrested three men in separate investigations involving Ambiance Lounge, WMJR Service Station and Cheeseburger in Paradise, with all three suspects charged with third-degree burglary and remanded to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility.
Orsel Edney, 34, was arrested July 17 in connection with a burglary that occurred June 24 at Ambiance Lounge, according to VIPD.
He was charged with third-degree burglary.
David Jakubens, 58, was arrested July 30 and charged with third-degree burglary after allegedly breaking into WMJR Service Station and removing items from the business.
The following day, police arrested 21-year-old Deshawn Henley in connection with burglaries at Cheeseburger in Paradise. He was also charged with third-degree burglary.
Bail was set for each defendant, and all three were remanded to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility.
VIPD thanked members of the community for their assistance in identifying and apprehending people suspected of involvement in the burglaries.
