ST. CROIX — V.I. Police Department offices on Sunday arrested 18-year-old Sincere Williams and charged him with second-degree aggravated rape following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Williams and two other adult males are accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in the Christiansted area after making contact with her on social media.
According to the VIPD, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report on December 3, 2022, that multiple adult males had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in various locations and on different dates. The suspects allegedly made arrangements to meet the victim after contacting her on social media.
Investigators discovered that the three adult males shared the child sexually, and warrants were obtained for the arrest of all three suspects. Williams, who resides in Upper Love, was arrested at 6:32 pm Sunday. His bail has been set at $75,000, which the suspect was unable to post.
Following his arrest, Williams was booked, processed, and transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility. He is awaiting his Advice of Rights Hearing, scheduled for May 1 at 9:00 am in the V.I. Superior Court.
