Third Suspect Arrested in St. Thomas Kidnapping Incident

ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers on Wednesday at about 2:00 p.m. along with FBI agents arrested Desie Henry, Jr., age 26 of Anna’s Retreat and charged him with conspiracy, false imprisonment and kidnapping.

According to police spokesman Toby Derima, Henry is alleged to have been involved in the kidnapping of a man in St. Thomas on September 14, who was viciously beaten and threatened with death by accusers who said the victim stole $800,000.

Unable to make bail of $100,000, Henry was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.

Mr. Derima said the investigation into this incident is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information in this case to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211 extension 5608, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1 (800) 222-TIPS.
