ST. CROIX — A man wanted in connection with a July shooting outside the Frontline Night Club has been extradited to St. Croix to face several criminal charges after investigators determined that he fled to the U.S. mainland following the incident.

According to the V.I. Police Department, the 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple reports of gunfire at the Frontline Night Club on July 5, 2025, at approximately 1:16 a.m. A detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to the case and interviewed several witnesses who identified Jose Osorio Jr. as the individual who allegedly fired the shots.

Investigators later determined that Osorio Jr. did not possess a license to carry a firearm or ammunition in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Despite multiple attempts to locate him, police were unable to make contact. Detectives eventually obtained credible information indicating that Osorio Jr. had fled the territory for the U.S. mainland.

An arrest warrant was subsequently issued by a Superior Court judge, followed by a warrant of extradition to return the suspect to the Virgin Islands to face prosecution.

On October 3, 2025, Osorio Jr., 31, was extradited to St. Croix, where he was formally placed under arrest and booked. Police said he was unable to post bail, which was set at $50,000.

Osorio Jr. faces multiple charges, including first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying firearms openly or concealed, discharging or aiming firearms, possession or sale of ammunition, and reckless driving.

Following his booking, Osorio Jr. was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, where he will remain pending his Advice of Rights hearing scheduled for October 6, 2025, in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
