Stabbing Incident at Sprat Net Bar in Cane Bay Leads to Manhunt for Suspect

ST. CROIX —  V.I. Police Department has launched a search for a suspect named Calvin Belle Jr. following a stabbing incident that occurred at Sprat Net Bar in Cane Bay on Wednesday.

Responding to a report received at 5:16 p.m., officers arrived at the scene to find a male victim with serious stab wounds to his neck. 

The victim was quickly transported to Juan F. Luis Hospital by ambulance, where he was immediately taken into emergency surgery due to the severity of his injuries. 

The VIPD's Criminal Investigation Bureau conducted a preliminary investigation and canvassed the area for any potential witnesses to the violent crime.

Belle, age 23, is currently wanted for first-degree assault. He is described as a black male with a slim build, dark brown complexion, black hair, brown eyes, and standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. Known to frequent areas such as the JFK Housing Community, Peter’s Rest, and Cane Bay, authorities are actively searching for Belle and have urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

The VIPD is urging the public to assist in locating Belle.
