ST. THOMAS — A St. Thomas man was arrested on Monday after he was caught on camera burglarizing a condo.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Monday at approximately 6:17 p.m., officers and detectives were dispatched to Watergate Condos in reference to the burglary. The initial report revealed that the victim received an alert on his mobile phone and saw through surveillance that an unknown male had entered his residence. The victim returned to his condo and discovered that money was stolen. Reviewing the surveillance footage, the suspect was positively identified at Clayton Boyce.
Mr. Boyce was arrested for third-degree burglary at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the area of Tap and Still, located at the Havensight Mall.
Unable to post bail of $25,000, Mr. Boyce was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing, which was held on Tuesday.
