ST. JOHN — On Saturday at around 6:30 a.m., 40-year-old Leopold Chinnery, Jr. of Estate Adrian turned himself in to police after learning that he was wanted, announced V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.
Chinnery was arrested on a warrant and charged with three counts of first-degree aggravated rape, six counts of first-degree unlawful sexual contact, two counts of child abuse, and two counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect, revealed Mr. Derima.
According to police, Chinnery is accused of various acts that occurred between 2016 and 2018.
Unable to post bail of $150,000, Chinnery was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
