ST. CROIX — The VIPD is asking for the community’s help in locating 18-year-old Wayne Burke, who is wanted for first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, Burke was identified as the suspect who fired upon a police officer and escaped after attempting to rob the KFC restaurant in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center on Jan. 7.
Burke is a Black male, 5 feet 9 inches in height, and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
