ST. CROIX — A man told police he did not know who shot him Monday night during an incident that resulted in injuries to his torso and leg.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Monday at approximately 10:34 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified of multiple gunshots discharged in Adventure Hill in the vicinity of Paradise Road. Subsequently, a male victim with gunshot wounds arrived at the Juan F. Luis Hospital in a private vehicle.
The V.I.P.D. news release stated that the victim said he did not have any knowledge of the person that shot him. The victim was treated for his injuries and was listed in stable condition.
Detectives were investigating this incident, Mr. Derima said. The police force urged anyone with information of this shooting to call 911, the Crime TipLine at (340) 778-4950, or Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-8477. Remember, if you see something, say something.
