ST. CROIX – On Saturday at approximately 1:47 a.m., police arrested Luis Lopez, age 62 of Sion Farm and charged him with first-degree assault, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.
According to the news release, Lopez assaulted a man with a knife causing injuries during an incident that occurred in Estate Glynn. The victim was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
Unable to make bail of $75,000, Lopez was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending his advisement hearing.
