ST. CROIX — On Tuesday at approximately 7:55 a.m., police officers arrested Angel Escobar, age 40 of Estate Morning Star, and charged him with second-degree burglary, police spokesman Toby Derima has announced.

According to the news release, earlier that morning, a family reported to the 911 Emergency Call Center that Escobar entered into their residence in the Walter I.M. Hodge Pavilion housing community without permission. The family demanded that Escobar leave the residence, however he disregarded their demands.

While investigating this matter, officers made contact with Escobar, and he was placed under arrest, according to the release.

Unable to make bail of $50,000, Escobar was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
