St. Thomas Man Charged with Computer Pornography and Exploitation of a Minor

ST. THOMAS — Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the V.I. Police Department have arrested 23-year-old K’Moi Hart, who now faces multiple charges related to computer pornography and unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

His charges include computer pornography, visual medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a ,mnor, obscene internet contact with a minor, and second-degree unlawful sexual contact. Bail was set at $100,000, and Hart remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

According to the VIPD, the case began on Friday, January 17, 2025, when School Resource Officers at Charlotte Amalie High School responded to a report related to computer pornography. Detectives later interviewed the minor victim, who, along with their parent, provided details regarding the case. According to statements, the victim disclosed that they developed a friendship with Hart, which later turned into a relationship lasting approximately eight months.

On Friday, January 31, Hart voluntarily presented himself at the Criminal Investigation Bureau, where he was subsequently placed under arrest. The circumstances surrounding the case remain under investigation as law enforcement continues to gather evidence and witness testimonies.
