ST. CROIX — A 45-year-old St. Croix man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a Criminal Investigation Bureau probe into a September 2025 shooting in Estate Glynn.
According to the V.I. Police Department, the case began in the early morning hours of September 11, 2025, when the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call at approximately 3:32 a.m. from a male requesting assistance in connection with an assault in the vicinity of Marvelous in Estate Glynn.
A detective with the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate and made contact with the victim. The victim told investigators that he had been assisting a friend at a residence and was seated inside his vehicle when the suspect arrived in the yard and ordered him to leave immediately.
The victim stated that the suspect approached him with a firearm, pointed it in his direction, fired two shots, and then struck him twice in the head with the weapon, causing visible injuries. Police identified the suspect as Rashede Emmanuel.
Following the investigation, an arrest warrant for Emmanuel was issued by the Superior Court on February 10, 2026.
On February 12, 45-year-old Rashede Emmanuel was arrested and transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was booked. He was charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, third-degree assault, carrying of firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
His bail was set at $100,000. Unable to post bail, Emmanuel was remanded to the John Bell Adult Correction Facility pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
The case remains part of an ongoing investigation led by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
