ST. CROIX — A 65-year-old man has been arrested for peeping into a woman’s home and engaging in lewd acts, following a complaint filed by the victim, the V.I. Police Department has announced.
The arrest marks the conclusion of an investigation that began when the woman reported multiple incidents of indecent behavior.
According to the VIPD, on June 26, an adult female filed a complaint at the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station, alleging that a man named Elvis Thomas had repeatedly visited her residence, peeping through her windows while engaging in lewd acts on himself. The victim stated that while reviewing her home camera footage, she observed Thomas on her property on more than three different occasions.
Based on the victim's complaint and the camera footage, an arrest warrant was issued for Thomas on July 8, leading to Thomas’s arrest on charges of indecent exposure and trespass. Following his arrest, Thomas was able to post bail, which was set at $500.
