ST. THOMAS — Police rushed to the scene of a shooting on Veterans Drive on Wednesday night just outside the Petrus Gas Station where two victims were critically wounded, the V.I. Police Department has announced.
At approximately 11:47 p.m., authorities received a call reporting two gunshot victims, one male and one female, who were quickly transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center by ambulance due to their life-threatening injuries.
The female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her face, while the male victim suffered injuries to his midsection and groin area, the VIPD reported. The identity of the suspect remains unknown, and authorities continue to search for leads.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau is spearheading the investigation into this violent crime. Detectives S. Rhymer and S. Donastorg have been assigned to the case and are actively seeking any information that could lead to the apprehension of the suspect.
