ST. THOMAS — A shooting incident in St. Thomas led to an auto collision on Monday at about 1:41 p.m., according to the V.I. Police Department.
VIPD arms, including the Patrol Division, Traffic Bureau, and Criminal Investigation Bureau, were called to the scene in Annas Retreat to investigate the events.
According to the victim's account to detectives, he was driving his girlfriend's vehicle when it was struck by gunfire. In an attempt to escape further harm, he accelerated the vehicle but subsequently collided with two other vehicles at an intersection. The victim reported that he did not recognize the individual who fired the shots at him.
The incident has prompted an investigation, and authorities are appealing to the public for information.
