Shooting at Frontline Leaves One Critically Injured

VIPD investigates exchange of gunfire in Colquohoun; victim airlifted for urgent care

ST. CROIX — A violent exchange of gunfire at the Frontline Nightclub in Colquohoun has left one man critically injured, according to the Virgin Islands Police Department. The incident, which occurred late Saturday night, is currently under investigation by the VIPD’s Major Crimes Unit.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau were promptly dispatched to the scene following reports of shots fired at the nightclub. Upon arrival, they discovered that a confrontation among several men had escalated into a shooting. The victim was shot multiple times and was rushed to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by private vehicle shortly after the incident.

At the scene, forensic technicians were able to collect numerous shell casings of different calibers, indicating multiple weapons were involved. Additionally, a shotgun owned by the victim was seized and is now being held as evidence by the authorities.

Medical staff at Juan Luis Hospital confirmed that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Due to the severity of his injuries, preparations were made to airlift him for further medical treatment Sunday morning. The current condition of the victim remains critical, and law enforcement continues to gather details surrounding the violent encounter.
