ST. THOMAS — On Wednesday at approximately 2:40 p.m., police arrested Hyram Graneau, Jr., age 30 of Lower John Dunkoe, St. Thomas, and charged him with being a fugitive from justice.

An investigation into another matter revealed that Graneau has an active warrant for his arrest in the state of Florida requiring full extradition. Graneau violated a probation, according to police spokesman Toby Derima.

Bail was set at $75,000, which he could not post. Graneau was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his extradition hearing.
