PUMA Gas Station in Bovoni Robbed at Gunpoint; Police Investigating

ST. THOMAS — V.I.P.D. officers on Friday responded to an armed robbery incident at the Puma Gas Station located in Bovoni. 

According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Friday at 9:14 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the gas station to investigate the matter. Upon their arrival, an employee reported to police that an unknown male purchased gas, then made his way inside the facility where he robbed the gas station at gunpoint, demanding money from the cash register.

Further details were not provided, and Mr. Derima said the case was being investigated by police as of Saturday. 

The V.I.P.D. is asking persons who may have information regarding this incident to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211 extension 5610, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1 (800) 222-TIPS.
