ST. THOMAS — A deceased male was discovered in the Estate St. Peter area of St. Thomas on Friday, August 16, according to the V.I. Police Department. The incident was reported by a concerned citizen who contacted 911 at approximately 5:40 p.m. to inform authorities about what appeared to be a lifeless body.

The VIPD said that upon arrival, police units located the unresponsive male lying in the yard of a residence. Emergency Medical Technicians were also dispatched to the scene and confirmed that the individual showed no signs of life.

The deceased, who has not yet been identified, is described as a Caucasian male, likely in his late 50s to early 60s, with a medium build and multiple tattoos. The VIPD’s Major Crimes Unit has taken charge of the investigation and is actively seeking any information that could assist in identifying the deceased and determining the circumstances surrounding his death.
