ST. THOMAS — A 23-year-old man is facing burglary, unlawful-entry, trespassing and indecent-conduct charges after police say he appeared nude at several St. Thomas locations, entered a residence and rummaged through personal belongings, and was later seen tampering with resort guest locks and peering through a window while engaging in inappropriate conduct.
Hunter A. Jackson was arrested on Friday after surrendering to law enforcement, according to the V.I. Police Department. The department listed his bail at $50,000.
The investigation began after an August 19 incident at Magens Bay Junction, where residents reported a man walking completely nude through the main building of the complex. Police said surveillance footage captured the individual engaging in inappropriate conduct.
VIPD Director of Communications Glen Dratte said investigators subsequently determined that Jackson had also entered a residence while nude and rummaged through personal belongings, according to VIPD.
Police said Jackson was later spotted at Lindbergh Bay Hotel, again nude, where he allegedly engaged in lewd behavior outside a vehicle occupied by a woman.
The investigation also extended to Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, where police say Jackson was seen attempting to tamper with locks used by guests. He was later captured on camera peering through a guest’s window while engaged in inappropriate conduct.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau identified Jackson as the suspect and issued a wanted poster, according to VIPD. He later surrendered to authorities.
Police charged Jackson with second-degree burglary, unlawful entry, trespassing, indecent exposure, obscene and indecent conduct and other related offenses.
