ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department announced today that 32-year-old Anthony Schneider has been extradited from Atlanta, Georgia, where he was detained on a warrant.

Schneider has been officially placed under arrest for the murders of Stacie Schjang and Arnold Jarvis, Jr., which occurred on January 27, 2022, and February 4, 2022, respectively.

Following Schneider's extradition waiver, he was airlifted back to St. Croix on Saturday, where he was processed and booked. Authorities have charged him with multiple crimes, including first-degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, attempted murder, first-degree assault, third-degree assault, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The Superior Court has set Schneider's bail at $1 million. Unable to post bond, Schneider has been transported to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility, where he will await his advice of rights hearing. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 24 at the Superior Court on St. Croix.

The extradition of Schneider marks a significant development in this high-profile double homicide case. The Virgin Islands Police Department said it is continuing its investigation and will provide updates as they become available.
