In the early hours of Monday, December 30, an armed robbery occurred at the Point Pleasant Resort in St. Thomas, prompting a response from the V.I. Police Department. The incident, reported around 12:30 a.m., is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

According to the victims, the robbery took place shortly after they had left the Red Hook area and arrived at the resort. Their vehicle was cut off by another vehicle, forcing them to stop before gaining entry to the premises.

The assailants, described as multiple individuals wearing masks and dressed in black, exited their vehicle armed with what the victims described as “long guns.” The suspects ordered the victims to hand over their personal belongings and assaulted them, striking them on the head with weapons.

One of the victims reported that during the robbery, one of the suspects took a card from his wallet and inserted it into a device described as a “black box.” The victims were unable to identify the suspects involved.
