ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department is seeking the community's help to identify suspects seen on camera robbing A Taste Margarita's Restaurant & Bar, located in Frederiksted.
According to police spokesman Glen Dratte, the 911 Emergency Call Center on Saturday at about 9:25 p.m. dispatched officers to the restaurant following the robbery report. Once at the location, officers made contact with the owner, who stated that four black males, all wearing ski masks robbed his establishment at gunpoint. The owner said $300 was stolen from the cash register.
Law enforcement said that two of the four black males drew handguns at a bartender and demanded that she open the cash register. One of the suspects also drew a weapon at a patron, according to the report.
The four black males stormed the facility, all wearing black shirts. According to police, two of the male suspects appeared to have dreadlocks. Additionally, the two individuals who approached the cash register were roughly 5 feet, 11 inches tall, with one having a slim body while the other appeared medium in size, police said.
Following the robbery, the men left the area in a white Ford Fiesta, according to police.
