ST. CROIX — A St. Croix man has surrendered to police in connection with an August 2025 Frederiksted shooting that left a woman with multiple gunshot wounds and later led investigators to allege that two additional victims were also fired upon.
According to the V.I. Police Department, ShotSpotter detected several shots fired on East Street in Frederiksted at approximately 11:27 p.m. on August 16, 2025.
When officers arrived, they found an adult female who had sustained several gunshot wounds to her back area. She was transported by ambulance to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment.
Further investigation revealed that Kenny Rogers allegedly fired shots at two additional victims on August 16, 2025, VIPD said.
On May 5, 2026, a Superior Court judge issued an arrest warrant for Rogers, with bail set at $100,000.
On May 20, 2026, Mr. Rogers, 44, surrendered to police at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station in the presence of his defense attorney.
He was arrested and booked on two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault, and discharging or aiming a firearm.
According to VIPD, Mr. Rogers’ attorney secured his release with a Superior Court judge pending his advice of rights hearing.
