Man Shot to Death in St. Thomas as Territory Records 4th Homicide in January

ST. THOMAS — A man was shot dead in St. Thomas Sunday night in Bolongo, the V.I. Police Department has confirmed to the Consortium following an inquiry. 

According to the V.I.P.D., the 911 Emergency Center received notification of multiple shots fired in Bolongo at 9:37 p.m., and law enforcement personnel were immediately dispatched to the area.

Upon their arrival, responding officers discovered one male victim who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds about the body. Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene examined the victim and determined there were no vital signs. 

The deceased was identified by next of kin as 31-year-old Chandler Heath, according to police.

Sunday night's homicide was the third in St. Thomas for the year and the fourth territory-wide.
