ST. THOMAS — A man was shot to death in Bovoni on Thursday night in the vicinity of The Superette, the V.I.P.D. has announced. According to images of the homicide seen by Consortium reporters, the victim appeared to have been shot while in a vehicle.
The V.I.P.D. release says that at about 8:56 p.m. Thursday, a resident called the 911 Emergency Call Center to report the firing of gunshots in the Bovoni area. Officers responded to the scene and observed a black, unresponsive male. The victim was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The victim sustained several gunshot wounds about his body.
On Friday, contact was made with the victim's next of kin who positively identified the male victim as 43-old-year old Darryl T. Jennings.
