Man Says He Was Assaulted by Two Male Suspects in St. John Who Attempted to Steal Female Companion's Bag

ST. JOHN — Police officers are investigating an assault incident that occurred in St. John on Sunday.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Sunday at approximately 9:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic in reference to an assault.

The male victim reported that while in Cruz Bay waiting for the Red Hook ferry, he and his female companion were approached by two unknown suspects who attempted to take the woman’s bag. The suspects physically assaulted the male victim, who was transported to the clinic for treatment of his injuries in the incident.

Police are asking for the community’s assistance in finding the suspects in this incident, Mr. Derima said.
