ST. THOMAS — A man told police that he was injured by gunfire while walking to his vehicle in the Savan area during the wee hours of Monday morning.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, on Monday at approximately 1:05 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center regarding a gunshot victim.
The male victim stated to detectives that he was in the Savan area walking to his vehicle where he heard multiple shots being fired. He said he realized that he had been shot and called a relative to take him to the hospital.
