ST. CROIX — A man crashed his vehicle into the rear of another vehicle while in the ATM line at Firstbank in Orange Grove Tuesday afternoon, according to the V.I. Police Department. The incident led to a massive presence of law enforcement and resulted in backed up traffic as V.I.P.D. officers blocked the bank's vehicle exit as the investigation was ongoing.
A Consortium reporter witnessed as police vehicles lined the roadway near the bank. It also appeared that federal agents from the nearby District Court responded to the incident as the bank is roughly 100 yards in distance from the federal court.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect in the case, Wingrove J. Creighton, age 39 of La Grande Princesse was arrested at about 6:54 p.m., according to the V.I.P.D.

He was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, damaging and tampering with a vehicle, third-degree assault and reckless driving.
The V.I.P.D. said that Creighton, in an apparent disagreement with another man in the drive-thru ATM lane at FirstBank Orange Grove, crashed his vehicle into the rear of the other man’s vehicle. The other man in the disagreement then drew a firearm and discharged two rounds at Creighton’s vehicle. No one was injured in the incident, according to police.

Unable to make bail of $30,000, Creighton was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
