Man Connected to Nightclub Shooting in St. Thomas That Left 2 Dead Extradited to Territory on Gun Possession Charges

ST. THOMAS — A man police say was involved in the Dec. 22 shooting that left two people dead at the Exclusive Bar and Lounge Nightclub in Contant, was arrested in Puerto Rico and extradited back to the USVI to face charges.

According to the V.I.P.D., on Thursday at approximately 4:40 p.m., police arrested Charlie Manuel Castillo Borg, age 26 of Estate Adrian, St. John, on a warrant for possession of an unlicensed firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

The V.I.P.D.'s Major Crime Unit detectives learned that Mr. Borg had fled to Puerto Rico. 

Unable to post bail of $50,000, Mr. Borg was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.

The V.I.P.D. is urging anyone with information on crimes to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211, or Crime Stoppers USVI at (800) 222-TIPS.
