ST. THOMAS — A St. Thomas man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly pistol-whipping his girlfriend last month, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.
Mr. Derima said the suspect, Tremain Maynard, age 44 of Lilliendahl and Marienhoj, was arrested at 8:04 a.m. Monday and charged with third-degree assault, domestic violence after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend with a firearm, causing visible injuries that required treatment at the Schneider Regional Medical Center on May 29.
Maynard was not offered bail, in line with the territory’s domestic violence laws. He was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
