In a release issued Saturday, police said Christopher turned himself in at the Ancilmo D. Marshall Command Police Station after detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau identified him as a suspect in the November 27, 2025 incident.

A Superior Court judge signed a warrant for his arrest on November 4, 2026. Following his surrender, Christopher was transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where officers advised him of his Miranda rights.

He was subsequently charged with carrying or using a dangerous weapon during the commission of a crime of violence, carrying a firearm openly or concealed during a crime of violence, carrying a firearm openly or concealed in a vehicle, carrying a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, first-degree reckless endangerment and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Christopher was unable to post bail and was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his advice-of-rights hearing. Police did not disclose the amount of his bail or specify when the hearing would take place.

The charges stem from a late-night shooting near the Golden Rock traffic light along Northside Road on Thanksgiving night last year.

As The Consortium reported at the time, officers responded to reports of gunfire near Pueblo Supermarket at approximately 11:40 p.m. on November 27, 2025.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. Both were transported by ambulance to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment.

One victim sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, while the second was listed in critical but stable condition and was being prepared for a possible medical airlift. Investigators also recovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau subsequently launched an investigation that has resulted in several arrests.

On October 5, police arrested 27-year-old Jamil Saker and 20-year-old Niquan Joseph after a Superior Court judge signed warrants for their arrests on September 29. Both were charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, with bail set at $100,000 each.

Another suspect, 34-year-old Dumaray Iles, was apprehended October 7 while working at a racetrack in Delaware, following an investigation involving the U.S. Marshals Service.

Federal authorities had been searching for Iles after he left the territory for the mainland earlier in 2026. He was located at Delaware Park Racetrack in Wilmington, where investigators discovered that he had been employed as a horse handler.

Iles waived extradition and was returned to St. Croix on October 21. The VIPD said he was arrested on charges including first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, mayhem and firearms offenses. His bail was set at $100,000.

A separate arrest in the investigation was announced Saturday involving 21-year-old Mark Prince, who police said was detained at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on November 5, the same day a Superior Court judge signed a warrant for his arrest.

According to the VIPD's announcement, Prince was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, mayhem and several weapons-related offenses. His bail was set at $100,000, which he was unable to post.

With Christopher's arrest, five men have now been publicly identified as defendants in connection with the same November 27 shooting.

The police department has not provided a detailed account of Christopher's alleged role in the incident or explained how the actions attributed to the five suspects relate to one another.

Christopher remains in custody pending his initial court proceedings. The charges against him are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
