ST. CROIX — A 22-year-old man was arrested late Friday night in connection with a reckless endangerment incident that took place earlier this year on the Kings Alley Boardwalk in Christiansted, authorities reported.

According to the VIPD, Terrell Johnson, who reportedly has no fixed address, was taken into custody without incident at the Gateway Service Station in Peter's Rest as part of the Safe Street Gun Violence Initiative. The arrest occurred at approximately 10:40 pm on May 11, 2024, under the guidance of a warrant issued for Johnson's actions back in February.

The specific charges stem from an event on February 10, 2024, around 12:45 am, where Johnson was allegedly captured on surveillance video discharging a firearm in the bustling area of the Cruzian Bayou Bistro located on Kings Alley Boardwalk. The footage purportedly shows the presence of other individuals in close proximity during the incident, significantly raising the stakes of the reckless behavior.

Magistrate Ernest E. Morris Jr. set Johnson's bail at $100,000 following his arrest, which he was unable to post. Johnson's advise of rights hearing is scheduled for today.
