ST. CROIX — A St. Croix man was arrested Wednesday morning around 2:12 a.m. for violating a restraining order and visiting the female victim, the mother of his children at her residence, police spokesman Toby Derima has announced.
According to the news release, 43-year-old Miguel Diaz of Grove Place violated his restraining order by making contact with the victim at her residence. He was charged with contempt of court.
Diaz was not granted bail in accordance with the territory's domestic violence laws, said Mr. Derima, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
