ST. CROIX — On Saturday at roughly 3:55 p.m., police arrested Anthony Cruz, age 36 of Estate St. John and charged him with first-degree unlawful sexual contact.
According to a V.I.P.D. news release, the investigation into this matter revealed that Cruz touched a minor female inappropriately over a year ago. The exact date was not disclosed, according to the V.I.P.D., and Cruz was interviewed regarding the allegation before being charged.
Unable to make bail of $35,000, Cruz was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending his advisement hearing.
