ST. CROIX — A Sion Farm man was arrested Thursday for allegedly raping a relative, according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima.
The man, identified as 19-year-old Mahki Tonge of Sion Farm, was charged with first-degree rape, domestic violence, after being identified as the suspect who sexually assaulted a relative. Police did not provide additional details about the incident, citing the sensitive nature of the case.
As per the territory's domestic violence laws, Tonge was not given the opportunity to post bail. He was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending his advisement hearing.
