ST. JOHN — A man was arrested on Friday on several charges following video surveillance viewed by police officers in reference to the burglary of a St. John restaurant.
According to the police report, on Wednesday, August 31 at approximately 12:06 p.m., the owner of Café Roma Restaurant in St. John visited the Leander Jurgen Command to report that his business was burglarized and several items were removed from it.
The V.I.P.D. said surveillance footage was reviewed and the footage showed suspect Alan Beyer leaving the vicinity of the business with a plastic bag that was identified as a bag that Café Roma provides to its to-go customers.
On Friday, Beyer was charged with third-degree burglary, unlawful entry and grand larceny.
Unable to post bail of $25,000, Beyer was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
